Getting started

You get full access to Velle for 30 days. Set up your firm, ingest past proposals, and run a real pursuit. Nothing is charged until day 30, and you can cancel anytime before then at no cost.

Yes — we take a card at signup so the trial rolls straight into your plan if you decide to keep Velle. Nothing is charged for 30 days, and you can cancel anytime before then at no cost.

Your chosen plan begins billing on the card you added at signup. Cancel anytime before day 30 and you're charged nothing; cancel later and your data stays available read-only for 30 days so you can export it.

Yes — that's the point. Drag in 25–40 past proposals during onboarding and Velle's AI extracts the reusable content, projects, and CVs into your library in the background.

Workflow

When you forward or upload an RFP, Velle reads it and pulls out the client, key dates, scoring rubric, required deliverables, and page limits — then drafts a pursuit brief for you to review.

Your content is used only to power your firm's workspace — retrieval, drafting suggestions, and analytics. Firms are fully isolated from each other; there's no shared content pool.

No. We use Anthropic's API for AI features. Anthropic does not train models on data sent through its API. Each firm's content is isolated within Velle and is not used to train any model.

Always. Every AI suggestion is editable, sourced, and flagged by confidence. You can pull from your library, let AI draft, or write from scratch — and move between modes freely.

Sub-consultants

They click a unique magic link from the email Velle sends. No password, no account creation — the link opens their structured info request directly.

No. The sub-consultant portal is magic-link only. They upload CVs, project sheets, and fees, and the content drops into the right place in your proposal.

They don't need to. The portal is built for first-time visitors — and the same email includes a reply-to address as a fallback if they'd rather just send files back.

Output

It's a fully editable InDesign file, generated from our Editorial Standard template and typeset with your proposal content. Everything in it is a real InDesign object: paragraph styles, swatches, threaded text frames, and org charts drawn as native shapes you can still edit. You open it in InDesign for the final polish.

Velle ships with the Editorial Standard template, which is what most firms use. On Practice we can also build a template on your own InDesign brand. That one is hands-on rather than self-serve, so talk to us and we'll scope it with you.

No — it respects it. Velle produces the IDML so the heavy lifting is done; you open it in InDesign for any final tweaks and the PDF export.

Billing

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing; downgrades apply at the next cycle. Manage everything in Settings → Billing.

Seats come with your plan — Studio includes 3 and Practice 10. Seats aren't bought individually; if you outgrow your plan you move up to the next one, which takes effect immediately with prorated billing. A pending invitation holds a seat until it's accepted or withdrawn.

Yes. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current period, and your data stays available — read-only — for 30 days afterward so you can export it.

It's retained read-only for 30 days, and you can export a complete archive (structured data + original files) anytime from billing settings.

Security

On managed Postgres and object storage with encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Each firm's data is isolated by row-level security.

Only members of your firm, scoped by role (owner, admin, member, viewer). No cross-firm access, and every state change is recorded in an audit log.

Inbound mail routes through our email provider to a signed webhook, then into your firm's workspace. Forwarded RFPs are attached only to the pursuit they belong to.
