The proposal workflow we wish existed

A full walkthrough, from the RFP hitting your inbox to a submitted proposal.

The proposal workflow we wish existed

Here's the whole thing, start to finish.

1. Forward the RFP

Forward the RFP email to your firm's intake address, or drop the PDF in. Velle reads it: client, key dates, the scoring rubric, required deliverables, page limits. It drafts a pursuit brief for you to review.

2. Decide pursue or pass

The brief includes a win-probability estimate based on your similar past pursuits, and a pursue/pass recommendation. You make the call; a "pass" captures a one-click reason that feeds your win-rate analytics.

3. Assemble your team

Pick the roles you need. Velle suggests staff based on past project alignment and their most-relevant work. Invite sub-consultants, who each get a structured info request and a magic-link portal — no accounts, no email chains.

4. Draft with your library

Section by section: pull from your library, let AI draft from your past content with full attribution, or write from scratch. The scoring rubric stays pinned, flagging when your effort is misaligned with what's weighted.

5. Generate output

Export a clean Word doc for review, a PDF for stakeholders, and a brand-locked IDML you open in InDesign for final polish. Submit, then capture a quick win/loss debrief so the next proposal starts smarter.

That's the workflow. No heroics required.
